Roll-A-Sentence - Volume 1

This game is a brilliant play-based Let's Write practice task. It can be particularly useful when working with less confident students. Learners create a BubbleMap before writing their corresponding sentence out in full.

This download contains the nets to create five different die-based games, helping you to practice the skills covered in The Sentence Studio units:

• Unit 4: using subjects, helping verbs, linking verbs and active verbs

• Unit 8: using subjects, predicate verb types and expanders

• Unit 12: using subjects, predicates, direct objects and indirect objects

• Unit 16: using subjects, predicates, expanders, subject complements and direct objects

• Unit 18: using subjects, predicates, expanders, subject complements, direct objects and describers

Small and large sized dice templates have been provided.
